One main aim of the Social Venture Building Community of Practice (CoP) is to understand the opportunities for developing fruitful partnerships internationally to formalise impactful Knowledge Exchange practice on a global scale. There are also many examples of best practices around the world—from social enterprise development to funding and culture within research—that we can learn from to enhance our knowledge and processes here in the UK.
Next month, I will be taking the CoP to the Knowledge Commercialisation Australasia conference in Queenstown, New Zealand. Learning and outcomes from this will be shared with the Social Venture Building (SVB) CoP afterwards, including insights from Australasia and hopefully some connections with stakeholders in South East Asia as well.
What would you like to learn from this part of the world? Please get in touch with any suggestions or recommendations for the CoP’s field trip focused on this key region.
The ‘grand challenge’ narrative provides the wider political context for promoting collaboration in impactful venturing internationally. The UN Sustainable Development Goals will continue to be a focus within this space as they blend global collaboration around societal needs with recognised benchmarks for quantifying non-commercial progress.
As always, get in touch with arnie.king@praxisauril.org.uk to discuss any aspect of the Social Venture Building Community of Practice.
