AXA PPP healthcare has confirmed the ten winners of Design Council’s MedTechSouthEast competition will be automatically entered into the Health Tech and You Awards 2016. This year, AXA has designated a special, exclusive category for MedTechSouthEast finalists called The Independent Living Award.
This fantastic opportunity will mean the winners benefit from added exposure of the international awards programme, as well as the combined support, mentoring and expertise offered by Design Council and MedCity, and direct links to businesses and venture capitalists.
MedTechSouthEast has been designed to identify and develop the next generation of medical product innovations for assisted living in London and the south-east of England. Entries must be submitted online by midday, Friday 23 October.
Entries will then be judged by Design Council’s team of experts, and finalists will be invited to pitch their product ideas directly to the Selection Panel at a special event in London on the evening of Thursday 10 November.

The Selection Panel, made up of clinicians and designers, is looking for ventures with revolutionary product ideas which enable people of all ages to manage medical conditions while living independently and maintaining quality of life.
