The Treasury released its response to the consultation 'Financing Growth in Innovative Firms' to coincide with the Chancellor's Budget speech this week. PraxisAuril responded to the consultation which was part of a wider investigation into so-called 'Patient Capital' and the role it has to play in supporting growth in firms including university spin-outs. The UK's research intensive universities have led the way in establishing university funds for patient investment and trialling new collaborative business models to attract and retain investors and PraxisAuril has been pleased to offer members opportunities to share their expertise with government departments and the British Business Bank, whose role in supporting innovation has been emphasised in the Budget.
