The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) is currently seeking proposals to the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE) Enterprise Fellowship scheme which supports researchers who wish to play a key role in the commercialisation of their research.
RSE Enterprise Fellowships provide a salary, mentoring and formal business training, allowing the Enterprise Fellow to focus solely on developing their business over a 12-month period.
A 50% part-time (maximum 2 years) option is being piloted for BBSRC funded RSE Enterprise Fellowships; please see the RSE Application Guidelines document on the RSE website for more details.
BBSRC funded RSE Enterprise Fellowships are available to academic staff, research staff and postgraduates with relevant experience who are employed by a UK Higher Education establishment or BBSRC Strategically Funded Institute. Please see the Terms and Conditions document on the RSE website for more detail.
RSE Enterprise Fellowships are also supported in this funding round by Scottish Enterprise, the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), QuantIC and BP. More details on these programmes are available on the RSE website.
The current closing date for applications is 16 April 2018 at 5pm. Please visit www.rse.org.uk/awards/enterprise-fellowships or contact Anne Fraser for further information.
