The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) part of UK Research and Innovation, is currently seeking proposals to the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE) Enterprise Fellowship programme which supports researchers who wish to play a key role in the commercialisation of their research.
RSE Enterprise Fellowships provide a salary, mentoring and formal business training, allowing the Enterprise Fellow to focus solely on developing their business over a 12-month period.
The BBSRC funded RSE Enterprise Fellowship can be taken on a full time or part time (maximum 2 years) basis; please see the RSE terms and conditions and application guidelines document’s available on the RSE website or contact David Hendry if you would like to discuss.
BBSRC funded RSE Enterprise Fellowships are available to all who are seeking to build on BBSRC-funded research (PhDs, PDRAs, Fellows, Lecturers, Professors etc.) and who are employed by a UK higher education establishment or BBSRC strategically-funded institute. An applicant will need to be able to demonstrate that their application draws substantially on the outputs of a previous peer-reviewed research grant or other types of substantial BBSRC investment. For any questions regarding eligibility to apply, please contact David Hendry.
