It is with great sadness that PraxisAuril is saying good-bye to our CEO Maxine Ficarra. Maxine has been with PraxisAuril since 2002 and has taken it from a single training course to the thriving organisation it is today, providing a comprehensive curriculum of courses to support the development of an increasingly diverse Knowledge Exchange community, an annual conference for sharing best practice amongst nearly 500 attendees and strong networks of practitioners and wider stakeholders including government, funders, industry and senior university representatives.
After 20 years of leading PraxisAuril and having steered the organisation through the last two very challenging years of the pandemic, Maxine has now decided to seek new challenges further afield. PraxisAuril and its Board would like to offer Maxine our sincere thanks for her tremendous contributions to PraxisAuril and to the sector and wish her every success in the future.

Her constant optimism and enthusiasm have been an incredible source of inspiration to the PraxisAuril team and members alike. I wish her all good luck for the next stage in her career.”

PraxisAuril has had an amazing year with our largest ever conference and fantastic demand for our training courses. We have significant ambition to capitalise on this, to grow our support for all people working in or connected to Knowledge Exchange. Our focus will be on growing the training curriculum, connecting directly with KE practitioners and enhancing our policy engagement.
Maxine will be staying with PraxisAuril until September 2022 and we have started a search for a new Chief Executive who will be announced in due course.
