Mercia Fund Management has followed up on its first investment in 2015 with follow-on capital to Medherant Ltd. A total of £250,000 from both Mercia’s third-party University Growth Fund and Growth Fund 4 will allow Medherant to continue product development. Medherant has moved to new laboratories, and KEC professional Andrew Lee has been seconded from Warwick Ventures to the project.

NCUB have completed a new survey of over 18,000 academics in the UK looking at the changing state of Knowledge Exchange. The report looks at academic interactions with external organisations. The report shows that 30% of academics actively work with private companies, and the bulk of research taking place is user-inspired or applied.
