The Autumn Statement outlined the development of the Industry Strategy Challenge Fund (ISCF) to support collaborations between business and the UK’s science base.
The fund will be managed by Innovate UK and research councils and will cover technologies from healthcare to space technology. The aim of the funding is to create a modern Industrial Strategy to support key sectors of the economy and spread jobs, success and opportunity.
Innovate UK confirms that it will be supporting the first wave of projects through ISCF in each of the areas with a number of smaller projects. so far 35 projects have been selected, the projects include fast chargers for electric vehicles and snake arm robotics.
