Chemistry Means Business takes place next week in Manchester, just before PraxisUnico’s own annual conference in Sheffield (Weds-Fri). PraxisUnico members connect businesses with research and help to bring novel research to market and the Royal Society of Chemistry’s event is all about forging connections, future proofing businesses and cross sector collaborations.
Chemistry Means Business is the Society's annual flagship event bringing together start-ups, small and medium enterprises, multinational organisations and academic entrepreneurs from across the UK and Europe. The conference features 40 new technologies in health, energy & environment, food & drink and materials and enabling technologies from universities, research institutes and emerging companies who all want to raise the profile of what they have to offer.
The event includes the annual Emerging Technologies Competition which showcases the most innovative ideas from four categories: energy & environment; health; food & drink; materials & enabling technologies. Winners of the competition have gone on to attract follow-on funding and commercial contracts.
