Dear PraxisAuril Friends and Colleagues,
It will, I expect, come as little surprise to you that the PraxisAuril Board has agreed that given the current COVID-19 situation, we will be postponing the PraxisAuril Conference until next year.
You will understand that this decision not to run our major event, which is so important to our members and stakeholders, has not been taken lightly. We will look at any financial support being offered by the Government to offset the projected losses we expect the organisation will need to absorb this year. That said, PraxisAuril has strong financial reserves and is well placed to invest in developing new and exciting activities and communication channels that will support the sector over the coming year and beyond. We will, more than ever, depend on your support as members and volunteers, to help PraxisAuril navigate this unprecedented situation.
I’m delighted to confirm that we have secured all the same venues for a PraxisAuril conference in Brighton on 1-3 June 2021 so please put these dates in your diary!
We will be in contact separately with all 2020 conference sponsors, speakers, registered delegates and stakeholders in the next few days to discuss the practical details of how you may choose to defer your involvement to 2021. Our brilliant exec team will do everything they can to make the administration of this postponement as seamless as possible for you.
The KE Awards, that are normally part of our gala conference dinner, will move to a digital format for 2020. Revised deadlines and details of our virtual ceremony will be announced soon. Over the coming weeks, we will be looking at introducing a number of digital offerings and tools to help and support you through this difficult time. Remaining connected as a community is now more important than ever.
We know that you will understand why we have taken this difficult decision. We need our professional KE community’s tenacity, energy and creativity to help us to help you through this challenging time – we encourage you to share your ideas!
With kindest regards
