RKE Impact Officer

We are: Experiencing an exciting period of development in our Research & Knowledge Exchange Directorate. As part of this we have created a new role that will help to deliver a step change in how we capture and amplify the activities and impact of our research and engagement work at RCS. 

 

This will involve developing content and managing the RKE web pages and social media accounts helping to put a spotlight on the research and engagement work that happens across the RCS community. It will also involve working with colleagues on specific publications and campaigns, crafting REF Impact Case Studies; case studies and narratives for Scottish Funding Council and other funders and stakeholders; ; and The post holder will help to identify and cluster specific internal and external audiences for this work and will produce regular and targeted content

 

You will be: Experienced within a higher education research, impact, knowledge exchange or specialist communications environment. Able to demonstrate good working knowledge of the policy environment for research and knowledge exchange in Scotland, with strong interpersonal skills, an open approach and ability to build trust amongst colleagues and stakeholders.

 

You should: Have excellent writing skills; able to write and edit copy for a variety of audiences with minimum supervision. Have strong organisational skills: able to work effectively with minimal supervision, to prioritise and complete tasks in a busy, fast-paced working environment. Willingness to work as part of a team with a flexible and adaptable approach. Experience of managing social media accounts with a good understanding of best practice and adapting content for different platforms.
