Welcome to our recap of the GGA, this event brought together inspirational leaders and talent from across the post-16 education sector to celebrate achievements in projects that promote sustainable action and impact. Here are some of the highlights and key takeaways from the event.

At this year’s awards ceremony, held on the evening of 13 November 2024 at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh, 133 projects from 83 institutions were shortlisted. The event celebrated 22 winners and recognised 23 highly commended projects.

The event kicked off with a keynote speech by Charlotte Bonner, Chief Exec of EAUC, who shared insights on the growth of these annual awards, innovation and achievements in the sector, and outlining the agenda for the evening. This set the tone for an event filled with bagpipes, glamour, laughter and a set vegan friendly meal to promote inclusivism, sustainability and equity. Charlotte and the co-host Jo Allatt, Head of Sustainability at UKRI - both provided a well-paced awards ceremony following the silver service dinner.

A huge congratulations to all nominees, highly commended and winners
