PraxisUnico celebrates a 10th anniversary

PraxisUnico celebrates........

April 2014 marks 10 years since Praxis Courses Ltd was incorporated and also 10 years since our Events Manager, Lisa Newman, joined the organisation.

During that time Lisa has played a major role in organising not only the training courses that have been attended by over 3,000 individuals from around the world, but also the Annual Conferences that have attracted over 2,500 delegates.

PraxisUnico welcomes the Government's supportive response to the recommendations of Sir Andrew Witty's Review of Universities and Growth. We are particularly pleased that the Government acknowledges the great contribution made to innovation and economic growth over many years by UK universities, and we look forward to working with our partners to do even more.

PraxisUnico and Hong Kong Trade Development Council announce signing of MoU

The MoU is designed to leverage Hong Kong’s strategic regional position as the international gateway for mainland Chinese companies and an intellectual property trading hub, and PraxisUnico’s access to the UK’s research commercialisation network to promote intellectual property trade between the UK and Hong Kong, which may include:

·         information exchange to share knowledge of intellectual property industries of respective regions;

·         identification of opportunities that may benefit British, Hong Kong and mainland Chinese companies or universities.

PraxisUnico supports research commercialisation in India

The workshop 'Commercialsing R&D Concepts - Challenges and Solutions' was jointly held by the British Deputy High Commission, Hyderabad and the Indian School of Business.

Following the workshop Jeff spoke to The Hindu, an Indian national newspaper, and said that, \"Scientists in India are on a par with the best in the world but there are few opportunities to commercialise research. The ecosystem needed to translate scientific work into profit is negligible.\"

Event Report: Technology Transfer - Colombian Prosperity & Innovation Managers

Through an on-going relationship with Cambridge Enterprise (CE), PraxisUnico was asked to deliver a 3-day training programme for a group of 10 Colombian Prosperity and Innovation Managers as part of a 3 week visit to Cambridge, managed by Brian Corbett (Cambridge Enterprise).

Event Report: Technology Transfer - Colombian Innovation Managers

Through an on-going relationship with Cambridge Enterprise (CE), PraxisUnico was asked to deliver a 3-day training programme for a group of 11 Colombian Innovation Managers as part of a 3 week visit to Cambridge, managed by Brian Corbett (Cambridge Enterprise).   The 11 delegates included a representative from the office of the Colombian President.
