PraxisUnico welcomes the report on the EasyAccess IP initiative released today by NCUB, carried out in partnership with PraxisUnico and commissioned from IP Pragmatics. It demonstrates that technology transfer professionals are successfully seeking new ways to improve the university-business interface, to make universities more approachable and simplify transactions by creating tools that can be used with a wide variety of external organisations depending on circumstance.
PraxisUnico's response to the Dowling Review of business university collaborations sets out our views on how business university collaborations can be supported successfully and for the long-term. The response re-iterates points we have made in previous consultations regarding the success factors for Technology and Knowledge Transfer. We also emphasise the need to increase engagement and investment on the demand side, and the need for secure and stable investment for collaborative activities, resources and personnel.

Last year's conference was the biggest ever, with more than 360 delegates from over 160 organisations, representing 13 countries. This year the PraxisUnico Conference visits Dublin, a vibrant and valuable city at the heart of Ireland's burgeoning economic revival.
Coventry University's Intellectual Property Commercialisation Office has developed a Technology Transfer Internship Programme allowing participants to learn about and contribute to technology transfer processes operated within the University. The programme includes training courses from PraxisUnico: on 'Research Contracts', 'Fundamentals of Technology Transfer' and 'Essentials of Business Development'.
PraxisUnico and RCUK are working together to celebrate the achievements of Knowledge Exchange and Commercialisation (KEC) professionals.
The awards recognise the important contribution made by KEC professionals working with researchers in turning excellent research or capabilities into real-life benefits and enables the sharing of best practice in KEC amongst the communities served by the Research Councils and PraxisUnico.
There are four categories of award:
